How Our Sessions Are Unique
Traditionally, training has relied heavily on lectures and presentations to provide instruction. During these sessions participants, are passive recipients of information. However, only 34% of learners are primarily auditory. 29% are visual and 36% are kinesthetic learners who need to feel, touch and move in order to learn. After training, most participants return to the job without developing a high level of comfort with what they’ve learned. It isn’t surprising that, 30 days after training, participants retain only about 20% of what they have learned.
Rather than making a heavy use of lectures, we use accelerated learning to provide delegates with more opportunity to hone their skills through practice and feedback. In fact, this programme offers significantly more practice than other course of this nature on the market. By the end of the programme, each participant will have an opportunity to conduct at least one individual interview and at least one complete panel interview. If you wish, we can even videotape the practice interviews to enhance skill acquisition.
One of the reasons we are able to cover so much material is that we use of accelerated learning to:
- help participants grasp complex material more easily and with less frustration
- keep participants energized, alert and engaged so that they can absorb more information and acquire more skills
- create vivid and memorable learning experiences to increase retention
- boost skill mastery through a high ratio of practice to theory
This programme has a generous helping of energizers, exercises and music to help delegates remain active, alert and energized throughout the session. We use:
- action learning
- props
- bright visuals and screen savers
f
- requent review
- experiential exercises
- lunch bags filled with tactile energizers
- dance and exercise breaks
- stretching and relaxation exercises
- scenic videos
- simulated vacation breaks
- a LOT of music for accelerated learning that is a perfect blend between east and west
